Beckham Heading to Milan
International soccer star David Beckham will join the Italian Soccer club AC Milan, on loan, beginning in January for a 4 month stay during Major League Soccer’s off season.The L.A. Galaxy, Beckham’s current team, will end their season on October 26th making him available for play in January.The top Italian soccer league, Serie A, has seen attendance numbers on the decline but AC Milan continues to draw fans since they have signed international stars including Kaka and Ronaldinho.The move to Milan seems to be a perfect fit for both the team and Beckham.Reports indicate that Beckaham hopes to join the English National team for another World Cup and his selection hinges on a strong performance in the Serie A.AC Milan will add Beckham’s skill in time for the UEFA cup, a competition for all European club teams.This will be David Beckham's fifth team after Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid and the L.A. Galaxy where he remains under contract.
Hallelujah. The protracted, tedious and seemingly never-ending saga between David Beckham, AC Milan and the Los Angeles Galaxy has finally and officially reached it's conclusion, as all sides came to an agreement.
Awesome article, I would agree with most of it. It is interesting that he is returning this year as well, keep an eye out for the champions league draw, AC Milan might draw Man Utd which would mean Becks playing against United for the first time since he left.
And now he's back in the UK, trainning with Spurs of all people. Maybe he's had his fill of kids (pumping out a 4th this week - or Victoria did) and wants to bring them up in a country with a lot less guns but lots of debt, especially in its football teams. Would be nice to have him liking the EPL again though.
That said, I just don't understand why Man Utd didn't have him back to train with them for the period. He has a wealth of knowledge to empart and they need a little inspiration cos they are hard pushed in the league at the mo.
