Celebrity Politics: A little left, a little right... Topic: Politics

Perhaps Leonardo DiCaprio’s most memorable movie moment occurred in a theater -- but not actually on film. During a special screening of Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 911 back in 2004, Leo let out a super loud belly laugh as Britney Spears appeared on the screen, chomping her gum while stating, “I think we should just trust our President in every decision that he makes and we should just support that!" The battle of celebrities and their politics is as strong as the battles at your local pub.
But while Hollywood often seems a million miles to the left of Gandhi, the Republicans have their fair share of A-listers with far more thoughtful right-leaning opinions than Britney: Adam Sandler, Vince Vaughn, Bruce Willis, Drew Carey, Dennis Miller and Kelsey Grammer. Even the left side of the Yankee infield, home of Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, bat right when they dig in at the voting booth.
Those who are quick to dismiss actors or athletes who stump for politicians should keep this in mind: celebrities who speak up tend to be very intelligent and well-informed, and if they choose to use their prominence to create awareness to further an agenda, more power to them.
Don’t forget to vote. Just be sure to consult the Lycos 50 and Perez Hilton before formulating your opinion.

We have our own uniqueness either in physical looks or in our character and attitude in life. Everybody will recognize us the way we are. However, simplicity is beauty, indeed. What to have in life being a celebrity? Some people do ridiculous things for some extra spending cash – like a wet T-shirt contest. Jennifer Aniston did – well, sort of. She is releasing a new calendar for next year, full of racy pictures. One of the months' pictorials has her in a flesh colored top, soaked through to the skin. Aniston has that rare gift of beauty that allows her to do such things at her tender age, a rare thing, but she somehow maintains an air of class throughout. Now, class is not exactly the thing you'd associate with a wet t-shirt contest. The thought conjures up images of seedy bars, full of drunk, crazy, seedy people or infomercials for video series that you see only on late night cable. Some people can get desperate for attention, or money.
It always seems when you search in Google and the other major search engines that you find the celebrities are always gosiping about Democratic politics. It will be nice when I find sites optimized for other things besides just keywords related to celbrities and their political opinions. I stay politically neutral and just focus on my search engine optimization business in Spokane, Washington.
Celebrities make people sit down and take notice but it does not give them the right to be part of everything that affects our life. Entertainment is something you pay for and you are done, politics is something that you have to pay for if you may the wrong choices. So people need to think next time they cheer for a celebrity turning politician.
Celebrities certainly have there own way of looking at things. When you are no longer responsible to anybody or anything you can do and say what you want.
Just saw him in the movie Body of Lies and it was Great. I used to not be a fan of him but he's been playing some great rolls and it's tough not to like him
It seems funny that you comment on celebrities who make political statements having intelligence to back up their beliefs as I can't recall Arnold Schwarzenneger making too many political comments when he was Hollywoods main action man, but I may have missed something in translation though!
I'd have to disagree when you say that the celebrities that speak up about politics seem to be inteligent. To me they seem to be ignorant with their thoughts. Some make no sense at all, and only try to persuade their loyal fans to vote one way or another. I wouldnt be surprised if you find they're on a political parties payroll? Conspiracy
